During the previous weeks CVS-Bulgaria has been very busy with some exciting donations distributions! Thanks to the generosity of the children’s families of Exploratorium, a unique children’s educational centre where discovery and creativity meet, they were able to collect a huge amount donations for asylum seekers and refugees’ families! On 11th October, a group of volunteers and interns from CVS-Bulgaria led a big distribution campaign in Ovcha Kupel reception centre in Sofia.

Our friends from VCV Serbia and GAIA Kosovo share with us what they learned on the  last activity of Balkan Myth Busters, a project aiming at creating a more critical understanding of nationalism and the tools of propaganda and political mythology amongst young people from Balkan region and Germany.

Inspired by the International day of Tolerance, CVS-Bulgaria decided to share with us their project of giving a lesson on tolerance in Bulgarian schools, inspiring youngsters and teaching them about the importance of solidarity.

At the last ICM it was decided by the approval of an urgent resolution to finance a second round of the Refugee Fund for the year 2017. A new team was set up in January 2017 to manage the fund, which has continued to make projects with and for refugees possible. Two members of this team are now leaving, and we are therefore looking for at least 2 new members to join efforts and bring new ideas into the team.
