Long Term Volunteer projects (LTV) make up a big sector for SCI’s work. But there are not so many possibilities for partners in this field to meet and exchange best practices. This inspired SVIT Ukraine and IAL Sweden to develop a seminar “Building bridges through volunteering”.
The seminar will be organised with funding from EC-Youth in Action and LTEG.
It will bring together former EVS volunteers, activists and staff of SCI branches. It aims at improving the quality of long term exchanges, as well as international communication and cooperation within SCI.
The seminar will also provide space for discussions on different aspects of EVS exchanges. These are for example: local integration of volunteers; organization of educational activities with a focus on human rights, gender, social inclusion etcetera; improving the intercultural learning process; and involve former EVS volunteers into other volunteer activities for the benefit of civil society in their own countries.
