Peace March in Bangalore

On 8th August SCI India organized the Peace March to remember Hiroshima and Nagasaki tragic events.

There were facilitated discussions with lecturers, students from High schools, Colleges, children from the local orphanages, SCI members and general public.

The Awareness Campaign started with a talk at the College campus by various organisations working for Peace & Harmony in Society.

There were talks been given on the:
-Meaning of Hiroshima & Nagasaki Day and the commemoration of the bombing on 6th and 9th August 1945.
-The huge damages caused.
-The importance of raising our voices against nuclear arms and war.

The signature campaign was organised for the studnts as well as for the general public and it was followed by the Candle Light Peace March.
The event was also covered by many important English Daily Newspapers in the Country.
